Primary School Ski Trip

Final Day

Today was colder with a bit of snow in the air.  The beginners really took off, and everyone else skied hard.  We ended the day with a disco, games, and blueberry dumplings - all around a fabulous day!

Day Five

Another great day skiing.  Today was colder and foggy in the morning, but the sun came out for us all afternoon.  Beginners got up on a big mountain, and some are even learning parallel turns.  Intermediates continue to work on form and technique.  Upper intermediates are on the blacks and did some serious skiing today.  Advanced skiers continued working on carving and left Mr. McGuinness in the dust.  Our evenings are still full with cards, games, and hot chocolate.

Day Four

Today was our rest day, and we started the day by a trip to the aquapark, where much fun was had. In the afternoon, we walked into the centre of town for some shopping, and we filled the evening with a nighttime lantern adventure.

Day Three

Another beautiful day of skiing and lots of hard work improving our skiing. Obviously, we rewarded our hard work with more hot chocolate and a trip to the sauna.

Day Two

"No photos from the advanced group today- their camera battery was dead. Beginners played games to get used to their equipment and then tried out the basics. Intermediates worked on turns and balance (though I think the lower intermediates mostly worked on hot chocolate!). Advanced skiers worked on perfecting turns and adjusting their turns to the terrain. "

Day One

"We spent the day settling in, getting our equipment sorted, and skiing a test run down the bunny slope by the hotel.  Some of the teachers were assessing the children to place them in their 'best fit' ski group."
