Former pupil visit- 13/12/2010

The Prague British School welcomed back one of its former pupils on Monday. Sara Polakova, who is reading Archaeology and Anthropology at St. Hugh’s College , Oxford, returned to offer her thoughts and insights to the current IB students on life at a prestigious university and discussed how studying at PBS had prepared her for university studies.

More than 60 students attended the lecture and Sara delivered a PowerPoint presentation, with topics ranging from libraries to balls. Sara also gave salient advice on the likely costs associated with study in the UK. In her final year at PBS Sara was elected Head Girl and was the recipient of the inaugural Velvet Scholarship. PBS is unique among international schools in that it provides funding for tuition fees for gifted students to complete their undergraduate studies.
