As part of the PBS learning support programme PBS identifies gifted students during the course of their KS3 studies. The most able students are then offered the opportunity to complete certain IGCSE courses a year early (end of Y10) this enables them to complete additional IGCSE courses in Year 11.
Challenging students to achieve of their best and enabling opportunities for the most able is central to our educational philosophy. Additionally in an increasingly competitive environment for university entry completing IGCSE examinations a year early offers a significant advantage to students.
